PST FIles

I want to use the VSS to copy PST files to get a point in time snap shot, as they are in use most of the time and two big to transfer before they are opened again.

Will the VSS option provide for this? If it will what VSS writer do I choose in the Voluem Shawdow Copy Service properties window in BestSyn 2012.
