Batch file not running after sync

Post by colinjack »

I am currently running a 30 day trial to see if we can use this software to automatically sync files with our website.
The sync is working but the batch file doesn't run automatically after the sync.
Any ideas?

Thanks

Knock knock RiseFly ... please may I have some support on this as you do not have a support email address?

Your software uploads okay but I need to run a batch file to move local files once they have been uploaded but this isn't working. The batch file works fine if I run it manually but isn't running after sync.
This is how I have it set (attached)

I need this to work before I purchase.

Thanks

BestSync should be able to run the batch file after the synchronization.
Please click menu "Option"/"View Log File" to see if BestSync failed to run the batch file.
For removing local files after upload, you can select the "Delete the source files. ===Moving File..." option in "Delete" setting TAB.
If you do not want to remove empty folders, you can place one file like "xxx.remain", and exclude "*.remain" in the "Filter" setting TAB.

Thanks.

The log doesn't even show it trying to run the batch file. :(

I will look at the Delete/Move option, but the /uploaded folder is in the same root so I need to look at maybe moving those elsewhere.

Many thanks.

I am having exactly the same issue with BestSync 2013 Business Edition. There was a failed error in the log file for the batch file so I changed the permissions of the Batch file to give permissions to everyone, but now an error does not appear in the log file and the batch file does not run. I even tried running the batch file before the sync task starts, and it still does not run. I can run the batch file with no problems from the desktop. Any solutions for this?

Hello,

I have just tested this issue (Run .bat file before sync in the service task), the result is OK.
Please click "Option"/"View Log File" to see if there is any error when run .bat file, if there is not error, then the .bat file must have been ran.

Best Regards

I am using BestSynch 2012. I am also facing the same issue. When I start the task manually first time it executes the batch file, a new command window pops up showing execution of the batch file. But when I do some changes in the files it synchronizes the edited file but does not execute the batch file. Please provide a clarification on this or how can I check whether the batch was executed or not. I looked into the logs( "Option"/"View Log File") it says nothing about batch execution. I am trying to run the batch file after the synchronization.

Also if I check the Service Run option for the task then even if I manually start it then also it does not run the batch file.

Thank you

The problem was solved by modifying our batch file.

I am facing the same issue again. It was never solved. We changed the batch file (the change was to do the same thing in different way) and then started the BestSync task. This time also it executed the batch file. Now we found that the task has not run since then. It happened every time after starting the sync task.

Please confirm if the task runs when in the preview mode.
If the task wait for the batch file end, and the batch file never end, the task will not go no for synchronizing files.
