Issue with folder name that ends with a dot

I'm trying BestSync to backup an FTP server of one of our client (UNIX machine) and I have Windows 7.
It seems everithing good but I find some folder, made by our customer, with a final dot (like \Software.\ ). I cant' ask him to rename all folder and remove the dot.
BestSyn create the folder under Windows7 but the folder is not accessible and not possible to rename it.
I think W7 doesn't like folder with a dot and in effect if I try to manually create a folder with a final dot the system create the folder but without the dot.
Do you have any suggestion or turnoround?

Here is the beta version of BestSync 2013, the new version can copy files/folders that end with dot in name.
