Good day everyone,
I decided to download and test the 64bit portable v8.0.0.8 version of your sync software.
I currently use a competitors sync software which hangs at the end of the sync, it also hangs when versioning syncs; I am ready for an improvement.
I am told by my NAS'es manufacturer (Synology) that everything should be working as the protocol is implemented correctly.
I have the latest updates installed on the NAS.
I hit a stumbling block early on in testing, I cannot log into my Synology NAS to access sync folders via the software.
As I mentioned earlier, I have WebDAV access set up successfully with another software via HTTPS and remote syncing functions well bun not perfect, I do not think my config is a fault; the relevant port forwards and permissions are set up.
I have tried to connect both unsecure and secure mode
I add a sync task-> I click WebDAV, I see and fill in all the relevant fields URL, Port, HTTPS, user credentials (URL format www.myURL.info/home ), but the software gives me an error 0, failed to connect, my URL format is invalid.
Is there any advice you can give me.
Regards

Re: WebDAV - connection error - Initial testing
Have you setup the folder like the following link?
http://www.risefly.com/help/wz_br_dav.htm
If still does not work, if your server can be accessed from internet, could you please setup a test account, and send the test account to risefly(a)risefly.com?
So we can debug with this server.

Re: WebDAV - connection error - Initial testing
Thanks for the quick response.
I revisited the testing this evening, after receiving this reply.
I started by trying to connect via localhost, this worked.
I then tried to enter <www.myURL.info>, for some strange reason I was allowed to connect, and I can see my folders.
I tried this format initially before I wrote to support.
Now that I have a Sync job set up in the portable 64 bit application, the software crashes when starting the job.

Re: WebDAV - connection error - Initial testing
Thank you for report the bug, we have found the problem, and have fixed the bug in version 8.0.1.0.
This problem is because the Portable version has not the trial period for the advanced features. If you input the license code, the exception error will not happen.

Re: WebDAV - connection error - Initial testing
Thank you for providing such wonderful support, allowing me to solve issues, continue evaluating and more importantly building my confidence in the software.
I installed the .exe version because I was having teething issues with the portable.
This software seems to work much better than your competitor `SilberSystems` on my Synology NAS, I certainly have not experienced any of the bugs that I was experiencing with the other software.
I am On-Board, I will be buying some licences knowing that you guys are knowledgeable and committed to your software.
Thank you guys...

Re: WebDAV - connection error - Initial testing
I Installed the .exe version and activated the premium licence on Win7 pro - latest Version8.0.1.3
Set up six jobs
Started syncing
Some time into syncing, the software crashed and now all my jobs are gone.
How do I get my saved jobs back?
Regards

Re: WebDAV - connection error - Initial testing
If you are using the 64bit version, and have selected the "Volume Shadow Copy" option, a bug (may cause crash) related to this have been fixed.
Please try the new version 8.0.14.
Please try the new version 8.0.14.
Re: WebDAV - connection error - Initial testing
For the black GUI, we have never seen this symptom. If you size the window, does this symptom disappear?
Re: WebDAV - connection error - Initial testing
The full screen looks Okay (64bit), when smaller it reverted to this with some buttons missing, I have checked all other applications on my system, this is the only one that is playing up.
I never used shadow copy on the 32bit install when it crashed, I had the Premium license installed.
Where is the backup of the jobs? They must be saved somewhere, I need to restore about 10 jobs to save me setting them up again?
Thanks for the help
