Bestsynch Ultimate: Use normal FTP over Socks5 Proxy

Hello,

i can not get this to work.

I have Bestsynch 2012 ftp.

I have a normal ftp server setup, running in passive mode. Everything works.

I have several working socks5 proxies. Like 123.456.789.0:5080 and they require a username and password.

Now, if i setup my socks5 proxy by clicking "use ftp firewall" / "ftp proxy" tab, it does not even matter what kind of ftp proxy type i set. And it does not even have an option for socks5.

I tried all different authentication methods like SITE hostname, transparent, i tried them all.

And it does always give the error winsock error no connection or connection refused.

Bestsynch has another options window called SFTP Proxy and that window allows a quick setup with Socks4/5.

But my ftp is a ftp, not a sftp server. So how can i set up Bestsynch to use my ftp over an external socks 5 proxy.

BestSync does not support SOCK4/5 Proxy when using FTP protocol.

Is this a feature that could be considered for the next version? Or is there a reason why you do not support it? All normal ftp clients have socks support.

We have not plan to support Socks for FTP protocol now.
