Bestsync on WSL symlinks

Post by novacatz »

Possible enhancement for bestsync - currently works ok with the " \\wsl$\[distro] " paths set up by WSL but has problems with the symlinks (appear notionally in explorer as junctions but seems like all windows problems will throw error when trying to following.

Because of above; sync jobs count this as failed file transfers.

Best solution of course is to follow (should be accessible if target is within the same distro FS) but failing that would at least be nice to have an option to 'ignore WSL symlinks'

If you know the folder, you can exclude it in "Include or Exclude" setting.

It affects files as well and since make lots of use of symlinks - it isn't feasible to update the backup job each time.

Without a programatic fix; basically I ignore the 'failed' counter for the jobs...
