Still having issues with FTP sync delay—any workarounds?

Post by Hugo »

Okay, so I’ve been syncing files between two locations via FTP, and I thought everything was set up just right—firewall exceptions in place, FTP in passive mode, etc. But I’m seeing a few-second delay in real-time sync, which is super annoying. I’m thinking maybe there’s a missing config or something on the server side, but the settings all seem fine (I double-checked the port ranges, and everything is supposed to be okay). Anyone else still experiencing this weird lag despite doing all the basics? Any tricks or workarounds that I might’ve missed?

Because the FTP protocol does not support change notifications, real-time sync is not available when the task is synchronized with the FTP server.
But the following sync directions support real-time sync:
Local Folder--->(one-way sync) FTP server
Other sync directions just ignore the real-time sync and only sync the task in about 1 minute period.
You just can not expect the FTP protocol to work without delay.
