Re: BestSync seems to have problems with Umlauts
I have the umlaut filename issue for a long time (my workaround was, to use ftp, but now I have to move to sftp).
Local System: Windows SmallBusinessServer 2008 English, BestSync English Version Ver8.0.6.8(64Bit)
Remote System 1: CentOS 6.2, Parallels Plesk Panel v11.5.30
Remote System 2: Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 4 (Nahant Update 4) 2.6.18-028stab056 (Red Hat 3.4.6-10)
Both systems shows exactly the same issue. Change the filename Translation setting in BestSync does not show any change (SFTP Advanced Setting, File Name, two options availlable). Using WinSCP against these two remote systems works perfectly and filenames could contain umlaut as expected.
See attached pdf for test results.
Let me know, how I could fix or help narrowing this issue.

To resolve this problem needs the support of the SFTP server, please confirm if the SFTP server support UTF-8 codepage.
