After a newer version save the task profile, an older may can not read in the newer task profile.
If you install an old version, you may need to reconfigure all the tasks.

Also, I am getting the feeling that there is some sort of permissions issue going on here.

If I find one of the files on the external drive that fails to sync, and I manually drag it over to the ftp site in windows explorer, it give me an error that I don't have permission on that ftp site to transfer that file. If I try and drag the file over via FileZilla, I get a error called "GnuTLS error -53: Error in the push function." Other files I drag cause neither error.

It is proved that this problem is caused by the permission setting of the folder in FTP server end.
