Feature request:
Before syncing takes place, BestSync should check a percentage threshold level of changed files previously set by the user for the job (e.g if more than X% of files change, then take an action, below this threshold the files would sync without a user needing to take an action).
This action could be to confirm "with or without" a password to continue to sync above the threshold, this would give the user the opportunity to see if anything is wrong with the system first.
The feature could be used as a safety measure, file encryption by malware would mean a 100% file change, if the files on the server were sync'ed then there is a possibility that the backup files would also get encrypted unless versioning is in place.
This would also be useful for folders that mistakenly are moved or deleted!
Thank you
This feature may benefit by users inputting ideas to make the request more appealing and useful for all users,
Feature request - Threshold % for changed files
Re: Feature request - Threshold % for changed files
Thank you for the feature suggestion, I may add this feature into the next version.
Re: Feature request - Threshold % for changed files
BestSync 2016 added a new option to stop the synchronization by the threshold of the percentage of number of changed files in "Miscellaneous" setting.
