BestSync FTP Extended Passive Mode

We are running BestSync for an FTP transfer.

We are able to connect to the FTP server using WinSCP, but we are unable to connect with BestSync.
Both BestSync and WinSCP are on the same server.

We have noticed that BestSync is sending the EPSV (Extended Passive Mode) command while WinSCP is sending PASV mode command.

Why is BestSync using EPSV and how can we configure it to use PASV instead?

thanks,

BestSync uses EPSV or PASV commands according to the IP address family of the server.
If the server is an IPV6 address, BestSync uses EPSV.
Otherwise, it uses PASV.
The FTP problem is usually due to the firewall settings.
Please check the following QNA for the firewall settings.

From what I've seen on technical discussions, you'd have to look in BestSync's advanced settings to see if there's an option to choose between EPSV and PASV.
If you can't find the option directly, make sure your network configuration is correct and that nothing is blocking the necessary ports. Sometimes, the default settings are not the most suitable for all FTP servers.
And for the finer details, there are often tips and practical solutions circulating in tech communities. Don't hesitate to explore forums or online guides for advice more specific to your software and configuration. They can really help!

BestSync detects the usable FTP command (EPSV or PASV) automatically.
Please add your FTP port, data port range to the allowed port of the firewall, to avoid the ports being blocked.
