First of all... WOW! This may be an answer for all of our clients!
Is there a way to get a discount if we buy a couple of copies now and then buy a few every month over time? If we bought 5 full versions every month, would the price go down?
Is there a way to compress without encrypting?
Big question:
We want to backup remote offices to a central office via FTP.
When we set the filter to get files changed in the last 1 day, and the delete tab set to mirror, if we delete a file/folder at the source, it doesn't delete the file/folder at the destination.
When we set the filter to UNCheck "only files changed...." and set the delete to mirror, it works BUT... everytime the program restarts (i.e. a reboot) it resyncs ALL files! With 100GB over a slow internet that won't work.
What options should we choose that (1) keeps everything sync'd to the destination (2) ONLY moves changes or deletes deleted files/folders and most important (3) when a task first runs, compares source to desitnation and ONLY moves what's different even when the program is restarted?
Thank You!!!

Re: Newbie Questions...
For the discount rate, if you order multiple licenses at one time, the volume discount rate will be applied automatically. And we are discuss with our e-commerce provider iportis.com to implement a new discount system that can give larger discount.
The compress and encrypting feature is tough-binded, if you use the compress feature, the encrypting feature is also used. May be we would add a new option to compress the file only.
For the deleting and moving issue, I would like to clear the following points’
1. BestSync detects file deleting and moving from the second time of synchronization.
Because when the task runs at the first time, it can not know if the files that exist in only one side are new added in the folder or deleted from the other folder.
2. If there are two many files (you said 100GB) in the folder, it may take days to synchronize files to the FTP server. If you reboot the system before BestSync complete the synchronization, BestSync can not save the synchronization result to DB, and if your FTP does not support modifying the timestamp of file. After the PC is rebooted, BestSync has not the DB of the last time, and can not calculate the timestamp of the files in FTP server, this causes all the files be re-synchronized after reboot.
To avoid this problem, please let BestSync complete the synchronization before reboot. Or use an FTP server that supports modifying timestamp of file.
We have released the new version 5.4.15, the new version has added a new feature to detect file moving.

Re: Newbie Questions...
What if the remote client/user/source "seeds" the initial mirror copy by... loading all data (100gb?) and sends it to us on a hard drive and we upload it to the FTP server. Thus, the source and desitnation would then match but not from BestSync as they were manually copied over. Would BestSync realize the files are the same one and start getting only changes or would it still try to copy all 100GB?
FYI, we use Filezilla Server on the destination side.
Thanks!

Re: Newbie Questions...
If the remote client copies 100G to the FTP server, and send the 100GB data to you by HDD, and you synchronize the HDD with the FTP server. BestSync do can detect the same files, and will not copy all the files to the FTP server.
BestSync works good with Filezilla Server.
