Can not send notification email.

After changes on our server, I have change the email notification to send via SSL port 465. Test message works fine but we are not receiving email from the log email notification. Everything was working perfect via port 25. No changes where made to the running task.
Our license is an Ultimate License.
I do have a request for the email notification system for the future. Only send an email when there have been changes made on either side of the running task. That would be a great option to be able to turn on. We have task the run every 15 minutes but there are time that nothing has changed.
