Does Bestsync resynch during downloading?

Just a question out of curiosity.
If i set Bestsync to sync a ftp server every 5 minutes (i need those shorter intervals) i can not set a time limit for downloading like i could with the "Hourly" option.
Normally it would sync after 5 minutes, the download would take 2 minutes. When the download finishes it waits 5 minutes for the next sync.
But on some days we have extremely many new files to work with.
Today i log in and i see this: Time used: 45 minutes Time remaining: 34 minutes
So my question is: Does Bestsync "re-sync" the folders every 5 minutes during long download periods and adds the files to the queue?
Or does it Sync Folders, Download for 90 minutes, wait 5 minutes then sync folders again?
