Browse a Folder (Bucket) of Amazon S3 (Or S3 Compatiable Cloud Storage)

(1). Select "Amazon S3" in the "File System" list.

(2). Setup the parameters for connecting to the Amazon S3 server or S3 compatiable cloud server.

Server: If you use Amazon Cloud Server, select "Amazon S3" in the combobox.
If you want to use a S3 compatialbe storage server, such as IBM Storage Object, you can select the server "IBM COS (S3) Public US" from the combo list.
If the server is not in the list, you can select "Customized Server" from the combo list, then copy and paste the end-point address of the server to "Host Address" editbox.

Access Key ID: The Key ID of the S3 account, like "AKIXXXXXXXXXXXXBTAUA"(about 20 characters).

Secret Access Key ID: The Secret Access Key ID of the S3 account, like "TmAi+xxxxxxxxxxxxxw/g7hcc/xxxxXXXXxxxXx9" (about 40 characters).

Region: Select the "Region" of the S3 server. If the region is not in the list, you input the region id into the combobox.

Storage Class:

Standard Storage: Select this option to use the storage of 99.999999999% durability (AmazonS3).
Standard - Infrequent Access Storage: Select this option to use low price but with the same durability as "Standard Storage".
Reduced Redundancy Storage: Select this option to use the storage of 99.99% durability.
If S3 compatialbe storage is used, and the Storage Class is not in the list, you can input the storage class into the combobox.

Use http Proxy:

If the local computer is behind a firewall or NAT, usually the computer needs the proxy to connect to the Amazon S3 server.

If this option is checked at the first time, the "http Proxy" dialog box will be popped up for setup up the http proxy server.

Advanced...:

Setup the customized meta-data to the file that upload to the Amazon S3.

(3). After set up the parameters above, press "Go" button to connect to the Amazon S3 server, and list the buckets(folders) into the tree view.

The log window (below the treeview) logs all the commands sent to the Amazon S3 server, and responses from the Amazon S3 server. If the connection between BestSync and Amazon S3 server can not be established successfully, please check the log.

(4). Select the folder in the tree view.

(5). Click "OK"button to end the dialog box
