If I purchase multiple licenses, can I receive a single license code for all of them?

Yes, if you purchase multiple licenses using the same registration email address, you will receive the same license code. Our web database manages the license number associated with the email address.

Can I transfer the license from an old PC to a new one?

Yes, you can transfer the license from an old PC to a new one by following these steps:
1. Deactivate the license on the old PC first.
2. Activate the license on the new PC.

Does the license ever expire?

The license will not expire for the major version that you purchased, but the license will be downgraded by one rank for the next two major versions, and by two ranks for the next three major versions, and so on.
For example, if you purchased a Business License for BestSync 2023, the license will never expire for BestSync 2023 and 2024, but it will be downgraded to a Premium License for BestSync 2025, and to a Basic License for BestSync 2026. The Basic License will never expire for any version of BestSync.
We continually add more features, improve functions, and fix bugs when upgrading BestSync to a new major version. Please keep your BestSync updated.
We keep old major versions available on the download page for about 10 years after their release year. If the old version is not available, please update to the new major version.

How do I upgrade from an old version license to a new version license, or from a lower-tier license to a higher-tier license?

I have activated the license, but why does the "Limited Features" dialog box still appear?

This is because you have a lower-tier license and are trying to use features of a higher-tier license. If you don't need the higher-tier features, you can ignore the warning by checking the "Do not show this dialog box for this task" option, and clicking the "continue" button. The dialog box will not appear again.

I have activated the license, but why has the license reverted to a free license?

Sometimes, Windows updates and antivirus software may reset the activated state of the license.
Please try the following steps to reactivate the license:
(1)Exit the BestSync Application.
(2)Disable your antivirus software.
(3)Start the BestSync Application by selecting "Run as administrator" from the context menu of the BestSync desktop icon.
(4)Reactivate the license.

If the PC does not have internet access, how can I activate the license?

You can use email activation to receive the activation data by email. Alternatively, you can use the following online form to get the activation data for the PC.

Why does BestSync say "Register code mismatch" when I try to activate the license?

Please check whether the email address entered in the registration dialog box is the same as the one you used when you purchased the license. You must use the same email address that you used when you purchased the license. This is because BestSync generates the registration code from your email address using the English code page. If you have entered the exact email address and the error still occurs, try copying the registration code to the registration code edit box, and use the English IME to enter your email address.

If the problem persists, please exit BestSync and start it again. Then try to activate the license again.

From Version 2.8.2.0, BestSync has used a new registration code format like "FT30-****". If you have an old registration code that begins with "FT10-****", please contactrisefly@risefly.comto request a new key code. If you are using a version prior to 2.8.2.0, please download the new version, uninstall the old version, and install the new version. This should resolve the problem.

I'm receiving the following error message when trying to register BestSync: "Writing register content failed, Registration failed!". Why?

Please confirm that you have administrator privileges. After installation, a user account can also run BestSync.
In Windows VISTA, before entering the license code, please exit the main application first, right-click the main application exe, select "Run as administrator" to run the main application, then enter the license key.
If the problem persists, please download and reinstall the latest version.

What do the error codes mean when I try to activate the license code?

-2: Rejected. The activation count has exceeded the license count, please purchase a new license.

-3: No record in the database. Please purchase a license or contactrisefly@risefly.com

-4,-5: Error when decrypting the data received from email or web page. Please check if there are extra characters added by the email client.

-13, -14: You may be using the activation data of another PC. If you want to activate the license on one PC (named THE_PC), you must send the activation data of THE_PC, and input the received data into THE_PC.

-1013: BestSync failed to write the activation data to the registry, please exit BestSync, run BestSync with administrator privileges, and activate the license again.
